I had the idea of making a coastal scene inspired illustration. I sketched some sea life and coastal elements on my sketchbook.
I then refined the sketch digitally and colour blocked.
This is the finished illustration! But, after finishing it, I thought these elements would make a cute pattern so I arranged them and made this repeat pattern:
