Short Film, Drama

In this dystopian retro future, strange black-and-white striped sunglasses, fear-mongering posters, and hi-tech surveillance cameras fill the streets. Rogue, a recent college-grad feels hopeful about his career and makes it to his second interview at a reputable company. While reporting the news to his mother, he is taken abruptly by Catchers to a strange treatment facility center, alongside two other bystanders: Lucy - a conservative elder woman, and Norman - a homeless man. The three are taken for seeing the forbidden ‘Zebra.’ While in the Treatment Center, Rogue initially obeys the Catchers, as per Lucy’s advice. He takes the pills, folds the propaganda pamphlets, and remains respectful to the Catchers. However, he soon begins to learn that he will in fact not make it to his second interview when he is held longer than he expected. He learns from Norman that the Zebra is not alive, and that the Government is cruel. He rebels with Norman. They are both electrocuted. Rogue is left alone in the treatment center and succumbs to its power. He is released. He returns back to the bus stop, not having remembered the preceding events. He finds a note in his pocket, secretly placed there by Norman. It’s a drawing of the Zebra.
